We have not read nodeca/js-yaml yet.
We can, and it takes one click. Nobody signs in, nothing is installed, and the read is built entirely from what is already public: the git history, the pull requests, the releases, and who GitHub says wrote what.
- How concentrated the work is: how much of it sits with one person, and which parts of the tree nobody else has touched.
- How the project treats an outsider: how long a first pull request waits, how many of them land, and how many people who sent one came back.
- The people who carried it, named and thanked, with a link to the commits every number was counted from.
What does not come back is a verdict on somebody’s project. Every page is the same measurements run the same way, and where the history is too small to support one, the page refuses that number and names the floor it fell under instead of guessing. A quiet repository produces a short page that says so and stays out of search results. It does not produce an accusation.
One read, and then this address is the page. We do not email the maintainers about it. See one that is finished.
